ACTIVE INTERVIEW SPOTLIGHT
Letter From Our President of Travel
As we begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel and nascent recovery of the hospitality industry, it is with enormous humility and gratitude that my team and I want to thank YOU, our clients and vendor partners. We were able to weather the unthinkable and at times the unbearable together as a result of the connections maintained through endless zoom calls that continued even though business stopped. Conversations that may have formerly been exclusively devoted to business became devoted instead to concerns for each other's well-being, shared optimism, sincere words of comfort, and our shared humanity (together with a healthy dose of forecasting the business to be done once the recovery was upon us). As I pen this note of thanks we are on the eve of replacing the virtual with actual and the forecasted with closed, but the silver lining of COVID is that it will never again just be business as usual thanks to the friendships we have forged.
